Due to delays from weather, the project timeline has been extended with modified service until April 7.

We are making every effort to minimize disruption of service through this time, with most of the work planned to occur overnight. However, a modified schedule and one additional berth closure will be required.

Full service to support holiday weekend travel: March 28 – April 4

  • To ensure travellers holiday weekend is unimpeded, the Queen of Capilano will provide service as per the online schedule during this period
  • Water taxi and shuttle service will not be provided

Modified schedule (April 5 & 7) and full day berth closure (April 6)

  • Friday, April 5: 10:30 pm from Horseshoe Bay and 11:00 pm from Snug Cove sailings cancelled – Water taxi service available for cancelled sailings
  • Saturday, April 6: Full day berth closure – Water taxi foot passenger service only
  • Sunday, April 7: All morning sailings beginning 6:50 am though 10:15 am from Horseshoe Bay, and 7:30 am through 10:50 am from Snug Cove have been cancelled – Water taxi service available for cancelled sailings

Berth Closures
Full berth closures are scheduled on:
•    SATURDAY, APRIL 6

Return to regular schedule and service: April 8

  • Monday, April 8 – Full regular schedule and service reinstated
  • Project completion

The company is asking customers to plan ahead for their travel during this time and is supporting customers during cancellations and closures with water taxis, shuttle bus service on Bowen Island, and discounted/ complimentary parking in Horseshoe Bay.
More information on mitigation plans will be available shortly, and will be communicated via Service Notice, on the project page (URL below), at the terminal and on the vessel.

Schedule adjustments have been decided with input from the community, and are designed to minimize impact on regular travel patterns as much as possible. Weekend days were selected for full berth closures to minimize the impact on commuters, businesses and school children.
